Invitation to field test new AHRQ resource

  • 1.  Invitation to field test new AHRQ resource

    Posted 06-14-2021 08:44

Please join us to field test a newly developed AHRQ diagnostic safety resource guide. This resource guide will help heath care organizations implement strategies for measuring diagnostic safety and learning from events from multiple types of data sources. The goal is to jumpstart activities related to discovery and analysis of diagnostic safety across a wide variety of institutions of different types and sizes.

The field test will be conducted through an AHRQ contract with the MedStar Health Institute for Quality and Safety and will involve 20 US health care organizations. If you are interested to learn more or would like to participate, please email MIQSInfo@medstar.net by June 18.

    Thank you.

I echo Helene's question as to the way that patient advocates and patients can review this.

Thanks so much for your interest and yes indeed. Learning from patient experiences is included as one of the main strategies in the resource. While we invited external review comments from patient advocates previously, we are happy to include some more. If you would like to provide specific comments, please feel free to reach out to me directly. The goal is to refine the resource during this feasibility test and release it early next year so there is time to include more patient perspectives.
