Thank you for attending this year's SIDM Conference: "Reducing Disparities, Improving Diagnoses". I hope it was both educational and inspiring. I would like to bring to your attention to another conference which will be examining a number of the issues that were discussed in the SIDM conference.
This conference is called the ReThink Clinical Reasoning Conference and it will take place on February 16, 2021. Hosted by McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, the ReThink Clinical Reasoning Conference is a one-day, online conference which will draw from multiple disciplines to explore the past and future of clinical reasoning. Expand your research and professional network by engaging with a multidisciplinary group of scientists, clinicians, and educators to design the future of clinical reasoning.
Register NowSubmit an Abstract
Deadline: January 7, 2022Research on clinical reasoning that ignores the context of the healthcare system and challenges experienced by patients, such as barriers to access, or systemic bias, has very little impact on the future of clinical reasoning. We are accepting submissions for e-posters to share examples of implementation studies that explored ways to improve clinical reasoning. Quality improvement, patient safety, process improvement and patient advocacy studies are welcome. Abstracts should be limited to 250 words and include a background, method and description of outcomes or program evaluation plans. Grand ideas, founded in theory, and works in progress are welcome. All abstracts will be reviewed and the top 3 will be showcased as examples of novel solutions to old problems
I look forward to seeing you there!
