    Thanks to Lisa Howley from the AAMC for alerting us to an upcoming series focusing on the  impact of skin color on clinical diagnosis.  Quoting Lisa:  "The discussion about the need to address health inequities and racism in the diagnostic process is so important, and I ...hope we can address it across the professions."

    Are separate colored lights, or any other things used by dermatologists to evaluate lesions in differing colored skins. Does anything help make diagnosis easier?

    Excellent lighting, careful physical exam and training are key.  CColored lights do not play a role.  On the Dec 2 webinar the physical exam of the skin in patients of color will be discussed in detail. The first webinar is tmrw Weds at 1 PM EST.  Here's the link
